Scheduling
maintenance on Assets is one of the most important functions that readyAsset
was designed for; within the tool we provide various ways of implementing
maintenance. Preventive maintenance will
help you avoid equipment failures and reduce downtime. The maintenance
procedures recommended by the provider are the basis for scheduling
maintenance.
You can begin with two steps to
implement scheduling; one is define your assets and their common needs in the
maintenance strategy that means that is better to work in groups: all the trucks of a specific make and model,
all the cars of specific year and model and the like. Step 2 is defining the
tasks that are to be applied on the assets; those tasks generally are provided
by the manufacturer company. The last and third step is setting the tasks to
your first asset in the group.
Scheduling is very easy to do,
just select a task and an asset, after that you can schedule the task to be
executed or notified by readyAsset in certain periods. Those periods are daily,
weekly, quarterly, monthly, every two months, every three months, every six
months and yearly. If you find that time
is not a good measure for your maintenance, you can select to schedule on
units, the units can be miles, hours or any unit that you predefine. In this
case every amount of units that you feed in the software, the maintenance will
be notified to you.
After scheduling the first
asset’s tasks, you only need to copy those tasks to the rest of the group. This
can be done by selecting every asset of the group and the applying the copy
task function. The function will let you find the source asset that owns the
group of previous scheduled tasks.
This way is very fast to complete
the scheduling task, but also within the recommended standard in the industry.
Beside the described options, if you need an external
service from someone that is only provided in very specific dates or months,
you can set this option when you schedule by selecting the non standard scheduling.
This will notify the maintenance only when you are within the set time
frame. For example, you need readyAsset
to notify you maintenance in the month of March and not before or later. |
